Recruitment
In September all fourth and fifth grade students are given information about beginning instrumental lessons and attend a demonstration of all the available instruments. Students listen to Drury High School Band members perform individually and in a small ensemble. Elementary students also have an opportunity to ask the Drury Band members personal questions about their musical experiences through the years.
Instrument choices include flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and drum pad.
